Supporting People with Learning Disabilities and Dementia Self Study (2018) 
This self study guide can be used for your continuing professional development. A link is provided to Supporting Derek: a short two-part film featuring actors with a learning disability. This will provide practical examples of some of the issues discussed in this guide and is an essential resource when completing some of the activities.
There is also a copy of this self study guide included in the Supporting People with Learning Disabilities and Dementia Training Pack (above) as background for those facilitating training courses.

Intellectual Disability and Dementia: A Guide for Families (2017)
Linking directly to policy and practice in both dementia and intellectual disability care, this book takes an outcome-focussed approach to support short, medium and long-term planning. The book looks at how to recognise when changes in the health of a relative with an intellectual disability could indicate the onset of dementia, as well as addressing common concerns surrounding living situations, medication and care plans.
